Scotland to Newcastle Ferry

Apart from its historical sites, Tynemouth is often referred to as Newcastle's coast. The golden sandy beaches are popular as a place to enjoy the sun, walk or take part in watersports, especially Tynemouth surfing. No waves today! Bottom left is the monument to Admiral Lord Collingwood who served in the Royal Navy with Nelson and saw action during the Battle of Trafalgar.
